About the Fundraiser
"A Mother's Tearful Plea to Save Her 14-Day-Old Miracle"
My hands tremble as I write this. I'm Jyoti Sharma, and right now I'm watching my precious newborn son fight for every breath in the NICU of Ruby Hospital, Chennai. Baby Gaurav - just 14 days into this world - needs emergency brain surgery to survive, and we desperately need your help.
When I first held Gaurav after delivery, I marveled at his perfect tiny fingers, his soft whimpers, the way his little chest rose and fell. Now those same fingers are pierced with IV needles. Those whimpers have been silenced by tubes. That tiny chest moves only because a machine forces it to. The doctors tell us hydrocephalus is crushing his brain with every passing hour, and without immediate surgery, our baby could die or face permanent disability.
"His First Smile Shouldn't Be His Last"
As new parents, my husband Rishabh and I imagined so many firsts - first bath, first giggles, first steps. Now we pray just for one more first: his first day without pain. The surgery costs ₹4,50,000 - an impossible sum after we spent everything on the delivery and initial tests. We've sold my wedding jewelry, borrowed from relatives, even begged from strangers outside the hospital. Still, it's not enough.
Yesterday, as I changed his diaper through the incubator portholes, I noticed something that shattered me - he's developed tiny wrinkles between his eyebrows from constant pain. No baby should know such suffering. The neurosurgeon says if we operate soon, he could grow up healthy. But every day we wait decreases his chances.
"You Could Be The Answer to Our Prayers"
I spend hours staring at the monitor lines, terrified they'll flatten. The nurses say I shouldn't, but I count every breath. 14...15...16... Please God, let there be a 17th. My milk came in last week, but Gaurav is too weak to nurse. So I pump and cry, wondering if he'll ever taste his mother's milk instead of formula through a tube.
We need just 900 people to donate ₹500 each. Less than the cost of a pizza. Less than a movie ticket. But for Gaurav, it's the difference between life and death. If you've ever held a healthy child and felt grateful, please pay that blessing forward. If you've ever lost someone and wished for more time, please help us avoid that agony.
"Don't Let His Crib Become His Coffin"
Today the nurse let me hold him for 7 precious minutes - tubes and all. His body was so light, yet the weight of his suffering crushed me. I whispered all the lullabies I'd saved for bedtime, terrified they might be the only ones he ever hears. When they took him back to the incubator, his tiny hand gripped my finger with surprising strength. That's when I knew - this baby wants to live.
Please, I beg you with every shattered piece of my mother's heart - help us save our son. Donate whatever you can. Share this with everyone you know. Pray if you believe. We're not asking for ourselves - we're begging for a baby who's never seen sunlight, never felt a parent's full embrace, never known a moment without pain.

Aidkart is the conception of a brilliant idea that introduces more transparency in donations and better equips both parties in giving and receiving aid in a more effective manner.

I've had an incredible experience with Aidkart as a first-time fund-raiser. They have been patient, competent and efficient. And that led me to leave them a tip-amount that someone else would have had to set up a small fundraiser. I believe in this move and I think it's brilliant.

Absolutely love this leap of faith. When you look at the Aidkart platform, it definitely reflects the values of Anoj. This would come as a big boost to the social sector & a very rare instance of generosity which is never easy.
